Hi I was in first year in 1979 at BJHS. I have lived in Edinburgh for years but still think of Ballingry, Lochore and Crosshill as "home". I am happily married with 2 sons, Lawrie aged 12 and Stuart aged 20 and I am a proud granny to gorgeous wee Aiden, who is 4 and a half months old. Brilliant website, many thanks for doing this, it takes me back and makes me feel like am back home again!!!

Grew up on Castle Avenue in Crosshill with my 5 siblings and my parents. Went to St. Kenneth's primary school and then to St. Andrew's High. My gran lived on Montrose Crescent and then moved back to Park Street after being up in Ballingry for a few years. My Gran & Dye lived in Scotlandwell. We emigrated to NY in 1965. I really enjoy seeing all the photos. I'll visit the site often to reminisce. Thanks!

Went to Benarty primary (old one) Remember Miss Mitchell (lovely), Mrs Martin (crabby), Rougvie the Janitor (was crabby but really a big softie, bless him). Can't believe they're tearing it down!! Moved to Margate almost 10 years ago but can't believe how much Ballingry (Benarty in general) is changing
