I grew up in Montrose Cres, Lochore then moved to McGinley Terr once married to Kirkland Gdns lassie Isabell Ewens. We currently live in Ballingry Cres. we met at the dancing in wee churh hall 1 friday night back in 1979! great site. keep up the good work
I have lived in Ballingry all my life. I was a pupil at the old Benarty Primary from 1978 - 1985. My mum is originally from the area, her maiden name was Erskine and she was born down Rosewell Drive. Her brothers were Ian, Bobby and George (Tiger). Her sisters were Janet and Jessie. I think this is a great site because I find when I want to ask something about the area that was before my time the people I would ask are no longer with me and the information gets lost forever.

Great site, brings back memories, keep up the good work
Great site, hope you get more content (i'll see if my Mum has any old pics that i can scan). I enjoyed looking at the photos, especially the school photo from Crosshill Primary (circa 1971). Our family lived at 64 Inchgall Avenue, we moved away in 1976 when i was 11.
THERE WAS ONLY 4 CLASSES WHEN I WAS THERE AND ONE OF THEM WAS THRE DINNING HALL.
