I started life in Glencraig, then moved to Kirktoun Park in 1960. Attended Dunmore nursery in 1962, then old Benarty primary school 1963 till 1970, to move up to Ballingry Junior High school till 1974. I remember the old social club at the end of oor street, there was a band I heard live who were called "The Other Side", they came from Benarty area in the sixties. On Sunday's at Benarty play-park all the guys from most streets used to meet up and play fitba also cricket too. I remember wee Eck from oor street had a card school, plus the pitch & toss in the park too, after the fitba was done. Lots of memories within oor wee toon.

Had quite a laugh looking at the old school photos, I'm sure there must be many more out there. Living in New Zealand but loved looking at this website, quite nostalgic about it all.
