Welcome to the Discover Benarty Website:

The 'DiscoverBenarty' website is designed to allow users to discover and learn about the area of fife called Benarty. Benarty is an area south of Benarty Hill in Western Fife. It consists of four small ex-mining villages - Ballingey, Lochore, Crosshill and Glencraig and currently has an population of 6,393 (Approx). Benarty has changed so much over the years and by using this site, I wish to document as much of those changes as possible. Hopefully, eventually, the Benarty area has a website to be proud of. Packed full of photographs (old and new), documents, maps and any other stuff I can get my hands on. Hopefully the site can be enjoyed by both the younger and the older generations and can be the subject of many pub conversations to come.

Additionally, to the south of Benarty Hill is 'Lochore Meadows Country Park' which has over 1,2000 acres of available countryside. There are a wide range of various facilities and activities available including woodlands, meadows and grasslands, ponds, a nature reserve and of course the loch itself. (Loch Ore). There are various paths and trails throughout the whole of the area and the best of all is, entry to park is totally free!
