Doug Rougvie

Douglas 'Doug' Rougvie (born 24 May 1956 in Ballingry) is a retired Scottish international footballer who played mainly for Aberdeen and Chelsea (made 100 appearances for and scored three goals). He later had brief spells with Fulham, Shrewsbury Town and Dunfermline Athletic, as well as a stint managing Scottish side Montrose. He also played one international game for Scotland in 1983. Doug attended both Benarty Primary and Ballingry High School and also played for both school teams respectively (Left school in 1971).

The White Brothers (Twins)

Joseph (Joe) White is a Scottish former footballer who played as a full-back. White began his professional career alongside his twin brother Sandy White (footballer) with Dundee United, with the twins playing together for the first time on 18 December 1971. Joe spent two years at Tannadice before moving to Cowdenbeath in 1973, where he went on to make just two league appearances. In 1974,he left the senior game and returned to Glenrothes, with his brother Sandy joining him at Glenrothes four years later. The White brothers are unique in that they are the only twins ever to play for Dundee United.

Rowan Hamilton

Rowan Hamilton (born 29 December 1964 in Ballingry) is a retired footballer who played for Dundee Football Club (81-84), Dunfermline Athletic Football Club (84-87), Brechin City Football Club (87-90) and East Fife Football Club (90-92). Rowan attended both Benarty Primary and Ballingry High School and also played for both school teams respectively (Left school in 1981).
